The No. 1 state-ranked Northstars top line of Eric Hamilton, Jesse Farabee and Matt Fiume accounted for four goals between them in a 5-0 win over the Cougars in a Section III Division I quarterfinal Friday night at Cicero Twin Rinks.

But when Northstars coach John Haas and his Warriors counterpart, Matt Jacob, review the game film, they’ll have to cover their eyes through large parts of it. Turnovers, poor free throw shooting, bundles of missed layups, and mental mistakes far outnumbered sound basketball in front of a large crowd at C-NS.
