LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Miller is reckless with the truth
To the editor:
While watching [TV], I saw Don Miller’s commercial berating Al Stirpe for raising taxes in Cicero that adversely affected the people in his district.
There is not one ounce of truth in the remarks that were approved by Mr. MIller’s campaign. Mr. Miller must really need a job to stoop to such low standards to try to ruin a man’s reputation for a few votes.
I will tell you the character of Al Stirpe. He married a woman with two children; one of the children has special needs. He stepped up and loved and cared for those children and they became a family. Most men would have run in the other direction. He also obtained the money for Central Park for the new ballfields, which the children of this community use. He has obtained money to help purchase the house that is used for the CanTeen. He has also sponsored many successful blood drives. He has always helped the youth and senior citizens of Cicero.
So what have you done, Mr. Miller, for our community? As vice president of your brother’s business, have you brought back any jobs from China to our district to help our unemployed? Or was your brother’s business located in China to improve his bottom line by lowering his overhead and hiring people at a low rate to improve his profit margin? Moving jobs that could be filled by people in our community is taking food out of their mouths.
Why should we vote for you Mr. Miller when you are truly not interested in the well-being of your constituents?
