Village of North Syracuse considers background checking

An agreement was also authorized to undertake the maintenance of three generators, one in the community center and one each in two fire houses. The agreement for the community center was for $270 while the fire houses were considerably less as they did not require a load test.

A three-year agreement was also OK'd for Hometown Heating and AC to check the air conditioning and heating at the community center for $69 per year.

The mayor announced the opening of a position of part time animal control officer.

“When our primary part time animal control officer isn't available, we have another person do what is done,” he said.

Finally, the department of parks and recreation announced that 75 to 80 people showed up for this year’s Earth Day event, and .44 tons of garbage was picked up. Teresa Roth also said the bike giveaway went over “really well.”
