Cicero — In our April 4 story, "Cicero settles another excessive force lawsuit," we incorrectly stated that both Ray Smeader and Josh Loughnot were placed under arrest. In fact, Loughnot was never arrested. He was never handcuffed, nor was he charged with disorderly conduct. In combing through approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pages of court documents to put together the story, the editor misinterpreted the material to mean that both men were arrested, when in fact only Smeader was arrested and charged. The editor takes full responsibility for the mistake.
